Memories of Water

New series of mixed media works on paper | 50 x 70 cm.

In Memories of Water, I invite you to dive into a pictorial language that is, at once, movement, memory, and liquid emotion. This series, created using mixed media on paper, evokes the hidden currents of memory through assertive gestures and a palette that vibrates with oceanic tones.

The broad blue sweeps that traverse the surface with dynamic energy become rivers of thought, inner streams connecting the sensory with the spiritual. The material appears to flow without restraint, as if the artist had channeled the very rhythm of water itself, its strength, its transparency, its ability to envelop and transform.

Across these aqueous layers, contrasting gestures in red, black, yellow, green,… splashes, lines, suspended dots…, intertwine, interrupting and enriching the visual field. They are like fragments of memories: sharp, precise, piercing. The composition balances spontaneity with intention, where each mark and each stroke tells a part of the story that water holds and the artist sets free.

This series does not depict water literally but rather invokes it as a metaphor for the mutable, the emotional, for that which slips through the fingers yet remains in the soul. These works echo something primordial: a search for origin, an active contemplation of the fertile chaos that inhabits all true creation.

Memories of Water is an intimate cartography, a series not meant to be merely seen, but deeply listened to from within.
