I am pleased to announce that on September 19th I will be with my friends from Casa KI Tulum (Mexico) inaugurating the exhibition KUXTAL, a series of 20 original works on cotton canvas.
The concept KUXTAL comes from the ancient Mayan language and means LIFE. It not only implies physical existence but encompasses broader concepts such as happiness, well-being and connection with the natural and spiritual environment.
You have to visit Casa Ki Tulum, a dream place in the middle of paradise.
The materials used are acrylics, Indian ink, with beach sand textures. The measurements are varied, between 70 and 110 cm. Is a series that goes beyond the limitations of conventional visual language.
The color palette is a tribute to Mayan culture. The works, featuring black and white, are interrupted by touches of Mayan blue, always on the color of the Earth. This choice is no coincidence, it reflects a conscious search for balance and harmony, following Mayan beliefs that connect with nature and the cycles of life. Black and white, the duality of existence, intertwines with Mayan blue, the color that sings to the vibration of life.
“KUXTAL” is not only a collection of paintings, but an invitation to contemplate life from a unique perspective. Abstract forms give rise to personal interpretation, allowing each viewer to discover their own meaning in the amalgam of lines, strokes and shapes. The series acts as a mirror in which observers can reflect their own experiences, emotions and visions of life. “KUXTAL” is an experience that awakens curiosity, invites reflection and stimulates the imagination.
In this visual journey, “KUXTAL” is not just a series of works of art; it is a ceremony, a celebration of life in its purest and most eternal form. Each stroke is a dance, each color is a note in the symphony of time and each observer is a participant in the celebration of life. Thus, “KUXTAL” becomes a song, a reminder that life is a perpetual dance, an eternal flow that connects us with the past, the present and the future. In each work, she invites us to immerse ourselves into the mystery of life and to celebrate the wonder of existing in this vast and magical universe.
